Flippi Privacy Policy
Piraeus Technology LLC · Effective July 25, 2026
Flippi is a flashcard app for spaced-repetition study. This policy describes
what data the app handles and how. The short version: your flashcards belong
to you, we collect the minimum needed to run the app, we show no ads, and we
never sell your data.
Data we collect
-
Account information. If you create an account, we store the
email address and display name your sign-in provider makes available (via
sign-in link, Google, or Apple). We also keep an internal account identifier,
sign-in provider and account type, and account creation and last-seen times.
Sign in with Apple may provide a private relay address instead of your real
one — that's fine with us.
-
Guest accounts. You can use Flippi without creating an
account. In that case the app creates an anonymous account identifier with no
personal information attached. From first launch, your guest decks, cards,
and review history are stored in the cloud under that identifier. Deleting
the app removes the device's access to the guest account but does not delete
its cloud data. To erase it, use Settings → Delete account before
deleting the app. If you no longer have access, follow the deletion-request
instructions below.
-
Your content. The decks, cards, and review history you
create. This content is private to your account and is never visible to other
users.
-
Crash reports. If crash reporting is enabled in a release,
we receive technical reports (device model, OS version, stack traces) when
the app crashes. Crash reports do not include your flashcard content.
What we don't do
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No selling or sharing of your data with third parties for their purposes.
- No analytics or behavioral tracking beyond the crash reporting above.
- No marketing email. We only email you sign-in links you request and
messages about your account.
Where your data is processed
Flippi is built on Google Firebase: Firebase Authentication (sign-in), Cloud
Firestore (your decks, cards, and review history), and Firebase Hosting (this
site and the sign-in link page). Crash reports, when enabled, are processed by
Sentry. These providers store data on our behalf and under our instructions.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept until you delete it. Deleting a deck or card removes it
permanently. Deleting your account (in the app: Settings → Delete
account) permanently removes your account, decks, cards, and review
history. See Delete your account for details and
for how to request deletion if you can no longer access the app. Anonymized
crash reports may persist for up to 90 days under our provider's retention
policy.
Children
Flippi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
